It says it is an AI
Your customers are told in the first sentence that they are speaking to an assistant, not a person. It will never pretend to be one of your staff, even if the caller insists. Nobody is tricked into ordering from a machine.
The OrderRing Trust Centre
The question worth asking about anything that answers your phone is not what it does when everything works. It is what it does when the menu does not cover the question, the printer is off, or the caller needs a human. Here is what OrderRing does then.
Seven rules it works to
Your customers are told in the first sentence that they are speaking to an assistant, not a person. It will never pretend to be one of your staff, even if the caller insists. Nobody is tricked into ordering from a machine.
A caller is not told their order is accepted until a ticket has actually come out of your printer. If it does not print, nobody is told it did — because a customer who thinks food is coming does not ring back, and does not eat.
It can only sell what is on the menu you approved, at the prices you set. It cannot invent a dish, a price, a discount, a delivery charge or a waiting time. Every total is worked out on our server, not by the AI.
It reads out the allergen wording you have written and approved, word for word. Asked anything you have not covered, it refuses, says it will not guess, and tells the caller to speak to you directly. That refusal is deliberate, and it is not a fault.
Nobody reads their card details to the AI, and there is nowhere in our system for a card number to be stored. Card payments go through a hosted checkout. Whether you take cash at all is your decision, not ours.
The audio of your customers' calls is not kept. A written transcript is held for thirty days so a fault can be looked into, then deleted. We keep what is needed to make your food and settle your bill, and no more.
Automation does not mean nobody is responsible. Kevin is the named contact while OrderRing is finding its feet, and every installation has an agreed route for getting hold of someone when it matters.
Control layers
You approve the menu and prices. We test the whole route — call, order, ticket — against your real setup before any customer rings.
Every call, order, payment and ticket is recorded, and your printer reports whether it is answering. A fault shows up as a fact rather than as a customer complaint.
The caller is told the truth rather than given a false confirmation, you get alerted, and there is a record afterwards of exactly what happened.
What we cannot claim yet
OrderRing has never run a real service, so there is no uptime record to show you. It holds no independent security certification. Which telephone and payment companies sit behind it, and where your customers’ information is held, will be written down here before any of it handles a real call — not afterwards.
If a competitor’s trust page is full of badges and this one is not, that is the difference between a business that has been running for years and one that is starting. We would rather tell you that than borrow credibility we have not earned.
